EXPORT XML Exporting to an XML file from MSDSpro
[An instructional video is available for this Hot Tip: http://www.screencast.com/t/ZmNiOWI4Y]
*Requires a version of MSDSpro v503g or higher*
Got to ADMIN-> LOCATIONS and select the location you wish. If needed, you can expand the sublocations until you reach the level you are searching for.
Right click to bring about the options to either "MXL Export This Location or Sub Locations" Selecting either will now have MSDSpro generating your file. It will lastly prompt you to save it to a directory on your computer.
To view the data on an Excel Spreadsheet, Open EXCEL and go to OPEN. Select the XML file that we just generated. You will next need to select "Use the XML Source taks pane" in the next window. A window with a notice about the XML file might pop up, click OK.
An "XML SOURCE" pane on the right will now contain the fields from the file. Select which fields you would like to include in the spreadsheet. Drag and drop the fields onto the spreadsheet. When all your columns are set, click on REFRESH ALL on the ECXEL toolbar to have the cells automatically populated.
